Investment casting is a process in which the metal is melted into a liquid that meets certain requirements and poured into the casting mold. After cooling, solidification, and cleaning, the casting will form into the desired shape, size, and properties. The cost and time of casting wool embryos are reduced to some extent because it is almost formed to achieve the purpose of no machining or a little machining. Casting plant is one of the important basic processes of modern machinery manufacturing industry.

Here is the content:

The fluidity of liquid steel is poor

Cast steel has a great shrinkage

Cast steel has a high melting point

The fluidity of liquid steel is poor

In the investment casting process, the wall thickness of cast steel should not be less than 8mm due to the poor fluidity of liquid steel, to prevent cold insulation and insufficient pouring. The structure of the casting system is simple and the section size is larger than that of cast iron. Use dry casting or hot casting. Properly increasing the pouring temperature, generally 1520° ~ 1600 ° C, because of the high pouring temperature, the superheat of molten steel is large, the liquid time is long, the fluidity can be improved. But the too high temperature will cause defects such as coarse grain, hot crack, porosity, and sand sticking. Therefore, the casting temperature of small, thin walls and complex shapes is about the melting point temperature of steel +150℃. The pouring temperature of large and thick wall castings is about 100℃ higher than its melting point.

Cast steel has a great shrinkage

Because the shrinkage of cast steel is much greater than that of cast iron, to prevent the defects of shrinkage and porosity of castings, measures such as risers, chillers, and subsidies are adopted in the casting process to achieve sequential solidification. In addition, to prevent products from shrinkage, porosity and cracks, and other defects. We should make the wall thickness uniform, do not use sharp and right Angle structure, add coke in the mold core, add sawdust in the molding sand, and use hollow mold core and oil sand core to improve the sand or core concession and air permeability.

Cast steel has a high melting point

The high melting point of cast steel leads to a high pouring temperature. The interaction between molten steel and casting material at a high temperature can easily produce sand sticking defects. Therefore, when investing in casting, we should choose refractory artificial quartz sand, and brush the protective coating made of quartz powder or zirconium powder on the surface of the casting. To reduce the gas source and improve the fluidity and casting strength of molten steel, most steel castings have been dry or quick-dry casting, such as sodium silicate sand molds hardened by CO2.

There are many investments casting companies in our country. My company is engaged in casting industry experience and has many years of casting history. Our cast aluminum parts have low casting cost, good technology, remelting, and renewal save resources and energy. And widely used in aviation, aerospace, automobile, machinery, and other industries. Our products are well received by customers.
